Confidence & Resilience Live Support Clinic - 21st Sept @ 7pm

Bring your questions & get practical, personalised guidance on ways you can help your dog improve their levels of confidence & resilience

Confidence & Resilience Building Live Clinic - Information & Details

Building confidence and resilience with our more sensitive, anxious, or nervous dogs isn't about following a generic checklist - it’s about knowing what your dog is ready for today, and what will work for them as an individual.
Join this interactive, low-pressure clinic to ask your specific questions and leave with a clear, realistic 'focus plan' you and your dog can get started on straight away.

Confidence isn't something we can teach a dog through a quick checklist of exercises.
It has to be felt, experienced, and internalized by your dog for it to truly last

How we achieve that will be influenced by the individual dog, their temperament, preferences, previous experiences, current sense of safety and the opportunities they have to successfully navigate challenges.
This live clinic will help you understand some of the important principles behind building confidence and resilience, in a way that works with your dog as an individual.
We'll explore what genuinely helps dogs develop greater confidence and coping skills and I'll help you apply those principles to your dog and your life situations.

WHAT THE LIVE CLINIC IS
This is not a webinar or presentation.
There are no slides. No formal teaching structure. No sitting listening to me yabber on through a presentation for an hour 😁

Instead, this is a live, interactive working session where you can get personalised guidance and support with whatever aspect of confidence and resilience development you need help with.

Supporting a dog to become more confident isn't the same as simply encouraging them to tolerate more or develop coping mechanisms (although both those things are super helpful too!)

It's also not necessarily about simply creating random opportunities or doing general activities that are 'confidence building'

As with everything relating to dogs, the most success will be achieved when we tailor everything to that dog as an individual.
What represents an achievable challenge for one dog may be completely overwhelming for another.

What one dog gets excited and enthusiastic about another may find boring or just another 'task' we ask them to do.
Something we may think is a useful confidence-building exercise may not be right for that dog if they're not ready for that level of challenge yet.

This won't be a full 'training plan' - that would be too overwhelming for you both.
It will be a 'this is what we need to focus on right now' plan.

What makes these clinic sessions extra helpful, is that everyone in the room is looking for support with the same thing, the same worries, similar challenges -
which means the questions other people ask are often the very same things you may have been wondering about too.

IS THE LIVE CLINIC RIGHT FOR YOU?
This session is designed to be a safe, non-judgmental space. It’s a great fit if:
βœ… Your dog is generally cautious, sensitive or anxious
βœ… Your dog struggles with particular situations, environments, activities or experiences
βœ… You're unsure whether you should encourage your dog to try something or give them more space/time
βœ… You want to help your dog become more resilient but you're not sure how to go about it
βœ… You've tried 'confidence-building' activities but aren't sure whether they're actually helping

βœ… You'd simply like to understand confidence and resilience better so you can support your individual dog

HOW THE CLINIC SESSION RUNS
60 MINUTE LIVE ONLINE SESSION: Ask your questions live during the call or email them to me in advance. I’ll work through your questions, exploring the situations with you and helping identify the most useful next steps to focus on with your dog.

DEMONSTRATIONS: Where helpful, I may share relevant skills or activity demonstration videos so you can see exactly what I'm recommending, why it helps, and how you can start putting it into practice with your own dog.

FOC
US: The focus of the session is always on practical understanding and implementation that you can go away and start using straight away. There is no single confidence-building recipe that will suit every dog. The aim is to help you understand what may be appropriate for your dog right now.

TEACHING GUIDES: Any resources, teaching guides, video demonstrations I recommend for anyone during the call will be made available to you in your own private resource area, so you can easily revisit them if you need to.

RECORDING: A recording of the clinic will be uploaded and a link sent out within 48 hours of the live event.

INTENTIONALLY SMALL GROUP FORMAT
This is intentionally a small-group format so that:
πŸ₯° Questions can be properly explored
πŸ₯° The session stays interactive
πŸ₯° The experience remains supportive and interesting rather than overwhelming
Once the 10 places are filled, enrolment for the clinic will close.

Zero Pressure: Join Live or Catch Up in Your Own Time
Life with a sensitive dog can be unpredictable and stressful at times - and I don't want the clinic to be something that adds to that.
If you can't make it live - no problem. Submit your specific question in advance and it will be covered during the session so you will get your personalised answer in the recording.

The aim of this clinic is
isn't to give you a huge list of 'confidence-building exercises' to go home and work through.
It’s to help you:
βœ… Understand the underlying principles of developing confidence & resilience
βœ… Better understand what confidence and resilience actually look like for your dog right now
βœ… Recognise when challenge is appropriate and when it may be too much
βœ… Identify practical opportunities within everyday life to help your dog develop their skills and competence
βœ… Have a clearer idea of what to work on next with your individual dog
