Do any of these sound familiar, if so you’re not alone:
🤷♀️ ‘We’ve been working on this for months - why aren’t we further along?’
🤷♀️ It feels like we’re constantly managing but not really moving forward.’
🤷♀️ ‘Sometimes things improve… then suddenly we seem to go backwards.’
🤷♀️ ‘I don’t know what else I’m supposed to be doing.’
These are phrases I hear often and I know how frustrating it can be.
What's even more difficult for me is knowing that (more often than not) when adopters are experiencing these feelings, they believe they just need to train more, or harder, or look for a different technique (which is not necessarily wrong - but often not what's needed.)
Would it surprise you to hear me say 'successful training' is just a part of the process (and not even the biggest part) - there are many other elements that support your training and make it successful (or not as the case may be!)
This workshop is for you if you:
✅ Live with a Romanian or overseas rescue dog
✅ Feel stuck, plateaued, or unsure why things aren’t moving forward
✅ Have found that your dogs training or progress doesn’t seem to stick or falls apart under pressure
✅ Feel like you're missing something
✅ Want to work ethically and compassionately with your dog - rather than looking for a quick fix
DURING THE LIVE WORKSHOP:
I’ll introduce you to the framework I use when working with clients - uncovering some of the layers that underpin effective, sustainable training.
Within that framework are multiple essential elements - any one of which may be the key to change for you and your dog.
Most people aren’t missing everything. It’s usually just two or three critical elements - but those gaps can hinder or limit progress.
When you find progress has stalled, it’s usually not about doing more training. It’s about doing the right things, in the right order.
We’ll look at:
✅ Why progress seems slow, or non-existent - even when you’re doing “the right training”
✅ What real, lasting success actually depends on
✅ How gaps in support, timing, or structure can slow progress and undermine reliability
✅ The most common missing elements in training plans that prevent you and your dog being successful
✅ Why behaviour responses that seem great when there's nothing to challenge them - often fail in real life situations
You’ll see why this isn’t about your dog being “stubborn” or 'ignorant' or that you're necessarily doing it all wrong - but how you might simply be missing some key elements or layers of the process.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
🐕 A clearer understanding of why you might not be seeing progress
🐕 Insight into what may be missing or misaligned for your individual dog
🐕 Greater confidence in where it may benefit you to focus your time, energy, and training
🐕 A calmer, more realistic sense of direction going forward
Whilst this isn't a workshop that provides specific answers to specific problems - it is a workshop I'm really excited to host for you because it holds much bigger answers - more training solutions and more time spent training is rarely what people need when they're stuck.
See you there if you're joining me 🐕🐾
